couple of savage 99 questions

First one is regarding interchanging stocks.I have a 99e lightweight carbine with birch wood.Would a wood set from a 99f fit?Nothing wrong with mine but walnut would be nice.Second question-Has anyone tried the new hornady superformance ammo in .300 savage?Thanks

In my experience 99 Savage stocks are fitted to the individual rifle. In all likelihood, the replacement stock would have to be fitted.

All 99 stocks will have to be fitted but some will take more than others.

Also, pre 90,000 tangs are longer than 1899's with serial numbers above 90,000.

The F stock should fit the 99E with little amount of fitting, a light sanding here and there should put it right into place.
