The Valley Regulators Cowboy Action shooters are very active. At the minimum we hold monthly matches year around. If you spend your winters snowbound and cold, why not bring yourself and your gear to the Island where it may be wet but more than bearable.

The Valley Regulators are holding their annual Showdown in the Valley Island championships during the August long weekend. Cowboy Action shooters from anywhere are welcome to this event. Check at http://www.valleyregulators.com for application forms etc. Our volunteers have built a community which we named Boomtown. Our dedicated Cowboy Action range features 5 individual covered (western theme) shooting stations in addition to 5 open bays. We also have an operational saloon, mercantile store and livery stable.

I was at a match in Saskatoon last weekend and heard a rumour that you guys will be holding the SASS Nationals in 2015. Any truth in that? If so I suppose the wife and I will have to come out to "visit my grandkids" on the island. My daughter really hates it when I unload the golf clubs and guns at her place!

I am moving to BC soon.
What is happening for BPCR shooting around the island?
Any side matches at your cowboy shoots?

Only at our Showdown shoot on the August long weekend and when we host the SASS Nationals. Side matches include the usual Cowboy Action side matches, 3 stage Wild Bunch and 100 yd rifle (Pistol Caliber and buffalo). (Our longest ranges are 100 yards). Closest long range (600 metres) is at Campbell River. We are working on getting Wild Bunch matches on the go as well.
