For those cowboy action enthusiasts who run a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun(or clone):
Over on the sass wire forum, top cowboy action shooter: "Widowmaker" presents a 3-video series, where he demonstrates dry fire practice techniques geared toward developing greater speed and efficiency, when running the '97 in competition.
Though focused on the 1897, there are still some aspects of his techniques that can carry over and adapt to other platforms, ie: double barrel coach gun, 1887 shotgun, etc. Including: shell positioning, gun staging and manipulation, practicing with a shot timer, etc.
Definitely worth watching.
