Cowboy action holsters

I am new to doing leather work and wanting to make some holsters for old six guns. I have never owned one. I am going to buy a pattern package for holsters and wondering if anyone has suggestions of which guns are most commonly used by people...thank you

holster patterns

I found a website by "eightbits" linked to the sass site. He has alot of good info on making your own holster and belts. I'm making a set for my 44. The info really helped me. He shows how to make them to fit your gun. Hope this helps.
