I went to my first cowboy action shoot today where some of the members got me set up to shoot some events, that was the most fun a guy could have that didn,t involve a bed .
Shot a couple of Ruger 44-40 SA and a marlin 44-40 and 20g double shot gun.
I am seriously bitten didn,t miss a target but was slower than some.
I will be getting into that game ,the bad thing is now I have to get a whole bunch of new guns (well maybe not a real bad thing) but I dont have anything of what I need

The Ottawa Valley Marauders had their first shoot of the year on Saturday as well.
Were you at that shoot or another?

I've been watching CAS from a distance for about 18 months. I'm expecting to go to my 1st match on May 8th. I started buying the guns and stuff as of last Octobre I got my SxS, Rifle and leather, coming up I will be getting revolvers, hopefully within a couple months. A friend and I we even managed to get 4 steel targets made out of scraps. My friend is also expecting a pair of Uberti Outlaws to arrive this week. Between the 2 of us we're OK to start.

It was in BC.As another poster said on here maybe to start out with as I need everything in terms of guns it would be a good idea to share equipment.
I had a buddy with me who was also bitten by the bug, he has a pair of 44 carbines now we could each buy one or two of the other guns to get started.
