COWBOY CAMP
Join us on Saturday May 23rd, which is the Saturday closest to John Wayne's Birthday!
SSA High power range
Goal of cowboy camp is to teach foundation skills for new shooters taking an interest in the exciting hobby of Cowboy Action Shooting. New shooters who do not have the required guns are welcome and will find plenty of hardware and ammunition available.
No experience or firearms licenses required, just interest and enthusiasm! Please bring hearing protection and safety eye wear if you have them. We will have some available but as the event is "NO CHARGE" we need to keep out of pocket expenses to the minimum.
Format for the Day
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Intro to Basic CAS safety rules, foundation skills, loading and unloading CAS firearms, how to safely draw from CAS legal holsters, firearms transitions.
12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Classic Cowboy Lunch
1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Long-gun fundamentals, shotgun basics. Putting it all together for Cowboy Action Shooting.
Eye and hearing protection required, some available on site but bring your own if available.
Cost: Donation to the Twin County Bounty Hunter’s fund.
NOTE: If you care to make a $10 donation that will make you a genuine, dyed in the leather TCBH member. Donations go to support the 2015 TCBH Annual Match “Autumn Thunder”.
