I heard a lot of folks talk about buying their duds at various places. "New to you" places and the likes, most everyone talks about buying in the states. That's probably where I'll end up going. But the point is can't someone north of the 47th get those brands, like Wahmaker, Scully Rangewear, Oaktree boots, etc. etc.? I can't get over it. I looked at a Bib Shirt the other day $39.99 plus $30.00 shipping and of course can't forget duty that's an expensive shirt. I know that there are some store that sell Modern Cowboy Clothes, Hats and Boots but why can't they get the CAS stuff?
Just ranting!!!:nest:
What do you think Cowboys and Cowgirls?

Another route is to buy patterns and get GF or mom to sew, but
the time you buy material on top of the pattern your getting up there.
My buddy bought a shirt last year from some place in the States.
They had some kind of big sale, and it was shiped US post so shipping was very cheap.
Check around and send emails of any questions.
Myself and many others try the second hand clothing stores .
You being from NB, try "Frenchies" maybe.
You wont get true hollywood stuff,
but you should find stuff that will pass for real period correct.

You are petty much stuck with mail order, not a lot local. Get them made, check Value Village some times get collarless shirts there, if you are new to CAS don't have to go the full clothing until you want to; Hat, old style shirt with collar, suspenders, denims, boots, a lot don't use full boots as can really start to hurt at end of day.

My shirts got from Lammlies, Value Village and States, pants states only, boots Value Village and States, Hats local cowboy stores and States.

Hope this helps

You would think a store dealing with saddles and other tack might find CAS clothing a good fit to their lines, but I guess there isn't a big enough market yet.
Locally, in Ottawa, I've purchased Stetsons, boots, spurs and spur straps from Apple Saddlery.
