I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used a coyote call for a wolf?

There are a few out in the area I work in that are running around on the prairies and taking quite a toll on the local ranchers calves.

I have seen a few in the last couple of months, but never quite close enough...

Has anyone used a coyote call to bring in a wolf? I would assume it would work about the same but really have no experience.

Up north ontario I've used a coyote howl call and had responses. Also have called in wolves with a mouth call simulating a wounded fawn.

In all truth I was trying it for bears. The wolves came in took my bear bait. I saw 6 but knew others were with them. This year ill have a wolf tag. Good luck calling

Thanks guys.
The calls I have are all the basic rabbit squealers. Hoping one of those will work.
But I also have a unique "talent" I'm going to try.
I learned on the farm when I was a kid I can imitate a calf in distress well enough to fool any momma cow.

Since these wolives seem to he feeding (pretty well) on calves, I might give that a try to.

Fawn/calf/elk in distress work, I've never has succsess with just rabbit sounds. If you can coyote howl well couple it with the fawn/calf distress.

Or you can buy a wolf howler:
