Well I stoped by Cdn tire on the way home today to get a licence to hunt yotes and was told by the lady at the counter that they are not in "season" and they could not sell me a licence. Now im pretty sure that here in nb you can hunt coyotes pretty much all year round except for the few days of moose season. Any one have any other info on this???

Well, technically right now coyotes are covered under either your deer or small game liscense. They are both good untill the end of february, then you will need the varmint liscence to get you through the rest of the year.

Your NB hunting guide seems to say the season runs from October 1, 2013 through February 28, 2014 under a Deer/Game Bird or a Small Game license, and from March 1 through September 20 under a Varmint license. Available under a spring or fall bear license too, it seems. Maybe she was thinking Varmint license?

Go to Service NB office and check the NB hunting booklet.

If I read right, varmit licence -is good for coyote BUT March 1,13 to Sept. 20, 2013 and then March 1, 14 to Sept. 20, 2014.

but on the small game permit, coyote are included - No limit Oct. 1, 2013 - Feb. 28, 2014.

beside that: kill a coyote = save a deer.

CHEERS !
