Wondering if anyone is running NF scope on favorite varmint rifle?

If so which reticle pattern and your opinion/experiences?
Next year I desire the best reticle for called in coyotes low power variable and sub 300 targets.

Please no trash talk, but certainly interested in other brands in the exact same role.

Cheers

I shoot a lot of coyotes and love the ability to take shots at the further ones that hang up to the call at 5-600+. I currently run a Vortex Razor AMG 6-24x50 on my calling rig.

If you're looking at NF, I'd seriously look at the NX8 2.5-20 F1 with the Mil-XT reticle. Personally I like locking turrets on a hunting rifle just for that extra piece of mind but it's probably not a deal breaker on a calling rifle where you have time to check the turret each time you sit down and make sure it hasn't moved on the hike in. I like a First focal plane reticle in a coyote rifle as well because no matter what magnification you're on, your holdovers in the reticle never change.

Im a SFP guy and have a SHV 5-20 on my 223 that works for me, but if I had the money for a dedicated yote rig, Id probably get a athlon midas tac with a christmas tree ret because sometimes I dont trust dialing in the cold.

Folks. I already own the NX8 1-8 x24 in FC-MOA reticle pattern. Seems to middle of the road for me this reticle pattern. Desire to know what you guys like or dislike for call ins. Maybe I will spring some cash for a factory reticle swapout?
My rifle is in .222 Remington so I think it's fine for up to 300ish with the occasional longer poke.

I have a shv 4-14x56 moar ill center cross and its perfect for calling. Crisp clear glass for longer shots across fields. No dialing needed. Best illumination ive ever used on a hunting scope. The scope is pretty heavy but anh. Worth it

My average shot this winter on called in coyotes was 150 yards. What sort of a technical reticle do you need?

I really like my NP-2DD. It's 8-32×56, I wasn't sure if 8 was to much but it's been fine for the closer shots so far.

I recently wanted to get a reticle swapped out on one of my Nightforce scopes so I emailed them for a price. They came back and told me I had to go through a Canadian dealer.
Got in touch with the one they recommended and he was great to answer questions and get me pricing.
Problem was it was about $250 for him to ship it down and back with brokerage etc and then Nightforce quoted around $600 USD. to change the reticle.I would also have to ship it to and from the dealer tacking on more money. With the exchange and shipping a reticle change would have been well north of a grand.
Comparatively, I had Korth swap out turrets and lenses in an old Leupold a few months ago for less than $400 including shipping.
I know where my scope budget will be spent going forward. I hope my Nightforces never need warranty, I bet it will be a pain.

I would choose a nightforce shv 4-14x56. No need for an nx8 or nxs. Just use the reticle. No need to dial so no need for those expensive turrets on the higher end Nightforce scopes. Shv should be easy good enough
