So I had a good chat with a gal I met at work today, and she was telling me about the coyote problem she has on her Dad's farm not far from where I live.
w:h:w:h:w:h:w:h:

So, i may just take her up on a visit and get a chance to do some shooting at the very least.
Any tips on how to have success on bagging a few coyotes?
Are you allowed to bait them? Read another thread about a gadget that calls them using fox sounds, is that something I should look into?
Any advice appreciated.
I'd be using my .308 ruger with a 6-24 Bushnell on it with 168 gr. Amax bullets.

Yeah, you need to know where you are before we can properly inform you. For instance where I live in southern Ontario the .308 is illegal to hunt with (.275 max.) and in northern Ontario you will need a tag and are limited to how many you can shoot.

Opps you beat me to it. Better check the regs as I believe you cannot use any caliber larger then .275 in that area.

Any of the following are good choices, .204 ruger, .223 rem, .22-250, .243 and other centre fire calibers of roughly the same size

A person hunting small game may not carry or use a rifle
of greater calibre than a .275-calibre rifle, except a muzzle-
loading gun, in the geographic areas of Brant, Chatham-Kent,
Durham, Elgin, Essex, Haldimand, Halton, Hamilton, Huron,
Lambton, Middlesex, Niagara, Norfolk, Northumberland,
Oxford, Peel, Perth, Toronto, Waterloo, Wellington or York.

Can't use 308. Stay with .223 or go for 22-250 if you can. 270 is the biggest caliber you can use in Ontario.

Need any help, will come. Not far from where we shoot. Start after the deer season !

Correct me if I am wrong....but is this fact? I know the guys in the GTA forget that Ontario extends beyond their borders.... :p

From my interpretation, this is only the case in these areas:
