Coyote Hunting

I have a friend who's not a hunter and has a bunch of horses and chickens, he's asked me to come shoot some coyote's for him. In this WMU a tag is needed, but only 2 per year. There are a lot more than that coming around. Is it legal for me to go shoot them for him (he does not even have a PAL)? I was planning to use a call at the end of the field and waiting... try to get them in under my terms

2nd question is my gf wants a pelt for a rug, I will get 2 game seals to get her the pelts if I have to, but is that needed since I've been asked to kill them?

Edit: I've been searching online for a few hours, I can't find details of what would be considered an "agent" I'm thinking I might have to give the MNR a call in the AM.

From what I understand you are fine shooting as many yotes on your buddy's property as you feel it's needed to protect his livestock, but if you want the pelts you can only keep two, the ones you tag (and I would pick and choose which ones to tag)

In a situation like this I would not look for answers here. Do the right thing and ask the MNR.

I asked an MNR officer this question in October regarding raccoons. Several property owners have asked me to shoot any coon I see, but there is a season for the danged critters, can I shoot them out of season as pests for the farmer? His answer is no! You have to be a certified pest control company to be able to do that. I jokingly asked if I registered a business as "Joe's Pest Control" if that would meet the requirement. Again he said no, you have to be certified or accredited or whatever. Good luck in your endeavors, but I would suggest you call MNR to confirm, perhaps there is some leeway because livestock is involved.
