This past week Ive seen this coyote 3 times in the middle of the afternoon (1-2) mousing this field. Today on my way home I catch him about 40yds from the road looking around for field mice, so I decide to pull off the road and watched him for a minute. He didnt even care I was there at all. Pulled out my phone and took a lil vid of him. After I stopped filming when this guy was running away I saw two more out in the field about 300yds.

Not more then a hour before this I caught another coyote on the south end of town just off the ring road in a field. So that was 4 coyotes in the city limits in the afternoon.

One day a few years back a buddy and I went out coyote hunting for the day, we hunted hard, calling from a dozen locations... Didn't see a thing... On the drive home, I turned the final corner before my home and there was a coyote standing in the middle of the street... Right in the middle of town... My trigger finger was itching bad, but reason won out and I waved as I drove past...go figure.

It would be nice to be able to take these guys down.

They dont seem to care about anything.

Just behind me in a condo unit, Im betting that a fwe pets are going to go missing.

Years ago, I watched as one coyote would go along plowing snow with its nose while another one sat and watched for any movement. There was only two or three inches of fluffy snow in the stubble.

I bought a mouse squeaker in the fall. Havent used it yet though because I cant shoot at my coyote spots till this week

I keep it in my bino chest rig that I got and even can use it from the rig.
