Thinking about getting into yote hunting in southern Ontario
I have a question regarding electronic calls. I am not sure if I will really get deeply involved in this aspect of the sport until I try it out. Therefore I do not want to drop a lot of money immediately on the very expensive, but highly rated electronic calls.
I see that there is a ICOtech GC101 call available for around $50.00.
It does have a remote and a decibel level of 100
Would this be adequate or do you have any recommendations.
Thanks

To start calling coyotes all you need is hand call and a rifle to start. If you want to get more serious buy a FOXPRO caller.
I call coyotes in the Niagara region and also chase them with hounds.Good luck

For twenty years I have been using a cheap small square mouth blown call that imitates injured rabbits and other that has worked well and I,ve lost it recently and am livid as i dont know what make it is or where I bought it.I,ve also tried the small hand held electronic calls with out much success and even lost one while hunting.Try a cheap $15-$20 blow call and watch predater quest or some of the other coyote hunting shows and they will come especially the young uneducated yotes.Thanks--Dieseldog!
