Coyote pests in Québec - finally
I started a thread many months ago about a sheep farm being raided repeatedly by coyotes, and how the government (Qweebeck government) had told the farmer he could do nothing.
Well, they finally issued him a "permit" to hunt and trap coyotes year round

He has acquired a number of Komondor dogs (from Hungary?) that supposedly protect the herd from coyotes.
Go figure a farmer needs permission in this god-forsaken province to protect his livelyhood, and that such permission takes months to obtain.
The article estimates there is one coyote for every 50 deer in southern Québec.
So far he has killed 4 it seems. So good for him!
