Keeping the yote population down in the winter probably keeps the gopher population up in the spring.

And DAMN my 270WSM works well on both of 'em!!!

I have a local trapper who takes the yote pelts.

Skin them, sell the pelts, and usually put the carcass in open field somewhere to attract other vermin. Then shoot them and the cycle occurs again.
