The final CQB of the year and we beat the snow. It actually turned out to be a fabulous day. I started off the morning with 4 layers and a parka and ended up in a light jacket!

Special thanks to our sponsors Target Sports Center and Flitz Canada for the prizes.

As always Tim ran a great match. Thanks to to all the competitors for the great cooperation in set up, tear down and an entertaining match. See you all next spring.

Anyone see something neat with the first pic?

Great day, no premature ejac... I mean, firing this time. One dropped pistol:eek:, handled properly.;)

Now the drought of the winter until April.:angovrec

Well, I finally did it. I got my wife to come to the shoot to watch (on the excuse 2 of our kds would be there). Then at the end my son and I convinced her to try a glock. At first she was surprized by it as it fired, not knowing what to expect. But by the end she fired off 50 rounds and was having fun!

I always maintain one beats fear by looking at the dragon face on. Then the fear evaporates. Purpetuate fear, and you can make people do anything you want. That's what socialists have done for generations. They can't survive without the fearfactor.

New pics my nephew Chris Dale took. No particular order:

Someone was using an SKS and loading with stripper clips! Chris also got this on video.

Brent and his friend. It was Andrew's first time shooting. Think he enjoyed himself much? :dancingbanana: The more young people we can hook the better for everyone.

When I get it I will compile Chris's video he shot and post it.

Damn! that looks like fun. I think I'm going to have to try that out next year.

Jump in with both feet, the water is warm. You need a working carbine/rifle and 5 mags, a working pistol and two mags and a positive attitude. It is all a lot of fun.

The course if fire is a bit hard to remember the first couple of times and there are a lot of skills to learn.

Everybody who shoots was a newbie once and we all seem to enjoy showing the game to new folks.

There will be clinics next spring. I strongly suggest you attend if you can. It will speed up your learning curve and they are a lot of fun too.

Ah, cool. Wish I could've made it out this year. I don't think I've had time to even reloaded enough ammo to get make it through one match. Ugh..

Congratulations to everyone who participated :)

An awesome day. Thanks to Tim, Hungry, Greg, Steve and all the rest who made this day and the rest of the season possible.
Great Pictures too (POST MORE)
In Ganderite's First photo see flying brass. Second picture a rather studly dood with a very nice Sig in battery.
Wish we had winter shoots too.
Great season, it gets better every year.

I love how your arm patch stands out in that one DF.

Wow, lot's of VZ's making it out there! Congrats to all the shooters.

I really like the CZ, I'm planning to get a second one for next year. Though my son is erging me to get an AR15. They both even suggested going in on part of the costs for one, I buy it. It will be better with three of us, and likely more visitors next year, 3 rifles would be a minimum. My daughter said she wants to get her own gear too. I've gottem hooked!

There were several of those new super short VZ in use. Meant to get a picture but it did not happen.

I think my Norc M4gery is about best bang for the buck in terms of performance.

The muzzle blast off of the shorty VZ's was awesome, early on in the day before it got too sunny the flames coming out of the muzzle were very cool!!

I am thrilled with my experience with CQB this year!!:D:D

I was nervous getting started this year ( I am new to any shooting, only two years since I even fired my first gun). I had fired my brand new AR for a grand total of 40 rounds at my range before showing up to the two day orientation at the beginning of the year!!

Tim, Hungry, Bolivar, Plink, Action Jackson, Ganderite and everyone else were great with tips and help getting started and I was thrilled to beat my personal best with a 386 and tie for 8th place in the last match of my first year trying this.

So to all the guys reading this thread who aren't sure....GET OUT and TRY IT!!!

I tried to get a pic while they shot those CZ's but the sun was too bright, not much flash to see.

Yeah, That NorcM4 looks appealing.

LOL I wish my dad was like you :p The AR is a better choice for CQB, the ergonomics are superior. The CZ/VZ just has the cheap ammo going for it, but can be ran well with a lot of practice and some tweaking.

P.S your son's shocker gloves made me LOL :D
