In the title. I'm only seeing shoots in Ontario.

Also, how do you do these shoots if your mag is pinned to 5? Or is there a loophole where you can shoot with full capacity mags. My lightfighter self can't see the point of shooting 5 round mags and doing mass tac/er reloads (you'll get freakin' good at em though). Or is this the point. :confused:

there is a 3 gun cqb style shooting league setting up there. look up chas tri gun ( Just as typed.) Things'll get a little smoother as time goes on, I'm just a member, but if you're interested P.M. me and I'll pass on the info to the guys running it. It's in its infancy, but looks like, with input might be a hoot.

Calgary/God's country is my stompin' grounds. I'd be pleased to find another excuse to go down there.

If you don't mind doing a bit of a drive, the CSRA is working on a CQB course of fire for 2011.

Interesting. To be honest not really interested in the Service rifle game but am in for some CQB style stuff. Throw in some shotgun/pistol maybe sometime?

The CSRA CQB stuff will likely have pistol transitions and some barricade shooting, but unfortunately not very much in the way of dynamic movement - at least to start - we need to work within the confines of the range at our disposal.

The ATHL may see some IDPA style three gun - or multi-gun courses of fire - just need MD's to come forward with ideas.

Yeah - I'm not all that fond of mouth to mouth resuscitation, so all's good :D

Up here in the Edmonton area, we have WRAS. We are a 3 Gun club that does dynamic movment, obstacles, breaching door (an important skill.....lol), some transitions. Check out our web site @ http://www.wrasalberta.com/

Already did BigTex! Looks like my cup'o'tea, but your site is under construction. Any idea when it will be done?

Just got some news this week about deploying sooner rather than later, so hopefully I can make the most out of the shooting season.

Thanks all!

Would be nice to see some CQB matches and differing courses of fire since every range and other target parameters may be vastly different. One works with what they have got. Also all of the locations have dedicated and very experienced shooters! :D

We (myself and Timk) are here to get you started if that is of any assistance, then once you bounce the ideas off our heads, you can modify them to suit your needs:

* target prep
* fast or slow scoring procedures
* target availability (supplies)
* distances (10, 15, 20, 25, 35 etc) shot?
* squadding of shooters into relays
* courses of fire
* objectives achieved (or to be achieved, ex. mag changes)
* round count(s)
* transition to secondary ( and necessary safety parameters)
* safety drills, clearing drills
* statistics (Excel programming, which many of you can already do)
* rapid registration
* zeroing practice before the match
* walk through- talk through procedures
* range commands
* whistles to start the shooting bout?

Loads and loads of things to think about..... :cool:

I can add more as I think of them.. but understand that all of these factors will determine the course of fire and SOP's you will be running and abiding by. Either way, safety (needless to say) will determine the decisions you make along the journey of running CQB matches. BTDT. :D

We have gone through a steep learning curve over the past 2 seasons here at Base Borden, Langemark Range. It's been a super journey! :cool:

Merry Chrismukkah to all!

The website needs more info...where, what, how much etc. I have run all of this stuff in the past and may be able to help.
