Hi,

Just bought a Para P16-40 with a CR speed holster used.
I have some difficulty with the locking/retaining mecanism.

From the CR Speed website, it look like a Model 2000 but with the WSM II hanger.

I can achive a sweet spot in retention, VERY fast and very good lateral retention but as said, it's a sweet spot and a 2mm move in the lever make it either stiff or free fall.

Anyone got an instruction manual in pdf?

I'm not sure where you bought it...but Freedom Ventures is the CR Distributer for Canada (see banner at top of page)

That's probably your best bet

I found when I set mine up, the height of the gun in the holster, and the white screw setting were crucial to the proper retention of the gun. I used the shims in the kit and got it just perfect as the clearance is very minimal on the triggergaurd, but enough not to drag on the draw. I have seen guys have the gun say too high or too low in the holster and no preload on the gun with the white bolt and it just didn't lock in just right. You will need to experiment and get it dialed in. Every gun likely will fit a little different, I use mine for CZ and Tanfoglio.

I tought he would answer here as he read here a lot...

I'll reposte tonight

Actually, oddly enough - I don't read all the site. I do miss some stuff - like this, so an email would have been OK...anyway;

All I have for instruction manuals are the latest versions; the WSM and Mods A and G. I'll scan them tomorrow.

Thanks!

I was woundering what was the white screw.. I received it already setup but the black locking lever is REALLY sensitive. As I said, +-2mm and its either too loose, too tight or just right.

The screw is for making sure the frame is riding on a solid point so it won't rock in the frame.
I just set up my CR Speed for my 625 S&W, and had to put the thicker black shim in it .
Once that was done, it changed from sloppy to a super precision piece of riggin'!
I really like the barrel spud feature on it, it lets me get a fast grip with confindence, because i put downward preasure on the gun as I grip it.

I also like the slot in the belt plate, it is slightly narrower than my AA belt and simply will not move or rock.....

Here you go - the CR Speed Instruction manual:

My usual set up is:

1. Pick the correct retention clip.
2. Pick the right trigger guard plate thickness.
3. Remove the platform or cup.
4. Put gun (checked a couple of times to be sure it's empty) in trigger area and pull it up until it is just slightly below the retention clip.
5. Install the platform at that height.
6. Screw out the frame elevation screw until it just barely touches the gun to stop back and forth jiggle.

Good Luck!!
