I have seen these machines on TV and immediately wondered if they had the capability to mill out an action and barrel inlet? I know very little about these sort of things, but the thought crossed my mind when I saw it...
 
maximum workpiece height is 5". I think that would rule out action inlets unless you make 2 peice stocks. Probably wouldn't be an issue if you're building benchrest stocks.
 
Don't think I'd use one. Inletting a stock for the receiver would require a whole bunch of programming changes. $1899.99US(?) isn't exactly cheap either.
 
this is more of a simplified CNC router machine that was designed for mostly light woodworking projects.

i wouldn't suggest using it for metals - even aluminum.
