Hi!
I know there are out there some loads your No.4s like but did you see a load that consistently pleases the Junglie?
I'm sure some kind of flat-based spitzer load can do but did you see a difference between bullets of the 150gr. weight and those of the 174-180gr. class?
Also, what powder do you prefer with each?
I tend to use WLR primers.

I haven't loaded enough .303 to really provide you with any informed data, but looking at Ken Waters loads I was surprised to see he had good success with heavy bullets backed by slow powders like 4831 and MRP. I would not of thought of that, and would of stayed with 3031 or 4895. With Remington215 gr bullets he recommends 46.0 grs of H-4831, IMR 4831, IMR 4350, and MRP. Although he says MRP did not produce enough velocity, with the Sierra 150 gr it produced the second most accurate load. He used Winchester 120 primers for all testing. He claims the most accurate load tested was 44.0 grs of IMR 4064 behind a 150 gr. Sierra which produced an average of 2630 FPS from his long barrelled (27") test rifle. The #5 rifle might not set your chronograph on end with the slow powders, but I'd give it a try for kicks.

Ditto on the 44.0 of IMR4064. Check it up against 303 british .com, either
on paper, or through paper it's a good load. I use a 150SP Hornady, and
fed gmm Primers.

Thanks, guys!
I have a (disappearing fast :( ) stash of 47SL Lot#10 which is a very fine grained slower powder. I used it in 303Brit and 7,62x54R and it has given me very consistent and tight groups with heavy 174-180gr. bullets.
The H-4831SC is also very good for these calibers and 6,5x55 Swede, always with heavier class bullets.
Now, with 150gr. flat-based spitzers and a shorter barrel, I'm thinking about H-3031, H-338, Bl-C2, W-760, IMR 4064, RL-15 and Varget.
Any experience?
