An old target rifle shooter showed me an original Creedmore muzzle loading target rifle in .416 Rigby I beleive. Had target sights long v.heavy barrel. English made. Rifleing and exterior in v good- excellent cond.
What's the value? I told him at least a couple grand probably more.

Without photos, impossible to say not to mention that .416 Rigby is a cartridge. If a muzzle loader the gun is much more likely to be .44 or .45 cal. Rigby cartridge rifles were loaded with essentially a blank cartridge and a muzzle loaded slug for Creedmore shooting but that does not appear to be what you are describing.

Maybe it was 45, as it was a muzzle loader. Was shown several old long arms that day. Thanks for the advice.......
Yes double checked and it is 45 cal 1870 Rigby. Has rear long range sight at top rear butt and a level type front sight.
