Crescent Firearms was formed in 1888, by George Cilley andFrank Foster. Both were firearms designers ad held several patents. First started making Single barrel shotguns, and started double gun production in 1891 Financial control was taken over by H D Folson in 1893. In 1929 N R Davis merged with crescent to become Davis-Crescent. The firm was bought by Stevens Arms Co in 1931. Crescent made several different models, but they can be found with over 100 different names.. I don't think there are any records to date your particular gun.. Bushrod.

thanks for the info.Under the barrel on the connecting plate there is also the number 4 with the 282030 under it and a crescent moon beside it, with Peerless Model on the left side plate, I believe it is a 12 ga. Do you have any idea what this gun may be worth?
