Crickett rifles...Red Dots... is it do-able?

I was thinking of buying a Crickett rifle for my son... and i seen u can get mounts and scopes for them. Any chance of putting a Busnell Trophy red/green 4 reticle Red Dot on one of these Cricketts? Hes only 6... So if there are better ideas.. feel free to advise. thx
 
i put a red dot sight on my daughters chipmunk,cricket rifle....swapped it out for a scope after awhile then to irons, she started at 4 . I dont know specifically on the scope u are asking but im pretty sure all youll need is a dovetail mount.
 
I put a Bushnell red dot on my daughters crickett. I used the factory Crickett mount and regular .22 rings as the red dot that I used has a 1" tube. I think the red dot idea is great for a new shooter. There is no eye relief to mess with or sights to line up, just put the dot on the target and shoot. My daughter has been shooting since she was 5 and has become pretty good with the red dot.
 
I have one on order for my son as a Christmas gift through Epps Sporting Goods. I ordered a stainless with a camo stock. I am pretty sure that Epps ordered quite a few at the same time as mine. Should be in soon. You could check with them to see if they are getting what you want.
