When crimping cast .44-40 loads, do you crimp in a separate step, use a special die, etc?

I've reloaded .44-40 casually for years with standard RCBS dies but I'm considering getting a special die for crimping. Generally .429 cast bullets that contain a crimping groove, in Winchester brass. I hear of pros and cons with the Lee FCD vs others and appreciate your experience.

Thanks

Rcbs Cowboy die. Best dies ever along with the Lyman M die for cast bullet.
I use the RCBS. Crimp in a separate step. The 44-40 brass is thin..better in two ops. ..less chance to buckle the case.

I did have to put a cowboy neck expander .430 in my Lyman die[same thread size luckily] as the Lymans were .427. My 92 has a .4285 groove. Not more case buckling..........only will work with Win and Starline brass not Rem too thick a neck.
