Hello all, I need some advice on a scope I just purchased, it seems to good to be true but I figured I would buy it and bring it back to the big box store I bought it from if it is no good. However I want some opinions on the scope nevertheless. So if anyone has any experience the claim from the big box store is retail price before sale price is 1100$ I paid 499. Like I said is it to good to be true or is this an ok optic I am putting it ontop of a .243 I just purchased for target shooting. Any insight helps thanks all

The reviews on these scopes seem really good, I have never seen one in person though

Regular 1100 down to 499$ is a really good discount

What store has this deal ?

Cabellas doesn't take returns on scopes from what I've read, the $1100 retail is meaningless when they sell them for $499 regularly.
Compare it I guess to other Philippines made scopes in that mag range, or Chinese if it's made there, scope prices don't make much sense to me these days as Chinese scopes retail for more then some Japanese or US made scopes...

So here is my first impression! I mounted the scope up on some tall rings which I was unsure about at first, but it actually allows for a more comfortable view down range in my opinion. Optics prove to be very bright and I am impressed with the FOV and the brightness this scope has. The reticle is nice and I am almost certain once I get more comfortable shooting this rifle this will be excellent for reaching out to distance. So overall I am very happy and although I am not an expert in optics I would say this scope is definitely a steal at the 500$ I paid for it. The 1100$ the big box store claims it is worth seems to be true in my unprofessional view. This scope provides excellent eye relief and was fairly easy to find my target when acquiring my target even at full zoom. Its weight isn’t terrible but I doubt this would be a rifle I would wish to take hunting on a mountain hunting trip. Compared to my similarly equipped Zeiss Conquest it holds up. although the clarity brightness and ease of acquiring targets at max zoom is very good, the zeiss is a better scope to be sure. But this crimson trace is not too terribly far behind in my opinion. My personal opinion is, except for the ones using very elite optics this one will work very well for the average marksman and if you can get it at the same price I did i think it will blow most away with the quality for price. I will post another update after I use it more and be able to give more feedback
