Crimson Tracer Grips.. Worth it?

Was thinking of getting some for the 92fs, is it really worth it or is it just another tacticool thing.

Can you see the red dot in day light? Anybody with knowledge chime in.
 
I have a set,they work really well accurate and easy to use! They show ok in the day but not the greatest. I wouldn pay full price for them again since its just for the range if we could ccw then it would be a different story. If you have money to put towards it and it dosnt matter then go for it if on a fixed shooting budget then spend the $ on ammo or ####
 
I have one on my M&P, I like it. I can see the red dot in daylight but I mostly use it in the indoor range. I leave it on my gun all the time and just turn it on when I want to use it.
 
were they bang on out of the box or did you have to mess with them to get them sighted in, CTG claims they are set up out of the box for 50 feet.
 
I'm waiting on my Kimber Crimson Pro Carry II to show up. It will be my first experience with integral laser grips. Web site says they *may* need to be adjusted for your shooting style / ammo.
 
Mine came stock on my S&W 1911, I adjusted them a bit and are pretty accurate. On a overcast day they work real good, would be interesting to try a cheap set off eBay to compare to the real thing.

I would not mount them on any gun that I was not going to either A) shoot in the dark at ranges, or B) potentially treat as a defensive weapon.

If you have a gun that you will be shooting in low light events, or that is your "in case of emergencies" gun for defensive use, the CTC grips are nice to have.

To paraphrase Larry Vickers, "there are some things you can do with lasers on that you can't do if you don't have them". If those are things you need to do, then lasers are good to have.

For the price they are, i could get another 1000 rounds of ammo, so i dont think ill be getting one.

That's likely the smart choice, mine aren't even on my gun anymore, the feel of the little rubber strap where the button is bugged me so I swapped them out.
 
I personally think there overpriced and not worth it in my opinion bcuz u get used to the laser then when u switch to something else u miss it or dont know how to sight in properly with irons
