Crosman Model 38C leaking how to fix?

I have a very old Crosman 38C thats in great shape. Its hardly been shot BUT the o seals are old and it leaks right from the Co2 cartridge insert, is there a fix for this? On a side not is there any interest in these airguns, I have never seen one before.
 
Canadian tire sells those little packs of rubber or teflon seals for sinks in the plumbing section. There a little big but i reshape them with a dremel or file to fit. I used gasket material for another one of the seals in the valve. The tiny orings I get out of an oring kit. Sealed up 2 38t's last year and they still hold air. As you dissamble the gun eyeball the old seals and make new ones.
 
Try one of the airgun shops out west, maybe have what you want? Failing this my friend is an expert on these will ask him where he gets his seals from, pm me if you need the info, dale
 
if you have the origonal, take it to any good local supplier of bearings or hydraulic or drive systems they can usually match any type of seal, generally a shop that specializes in these areas are most helpful. Peterborough Bearings at Lock and Landsdowne are excellent, all the best art.h
 
I have a Gamo that leaked the same way, Crossman warranty man told me to put some ATF transmission fluid through the seals with a hypo needle and it has work perfectly, don't ask why but the gun has been sitting on the shelf for 8 months now and every once in awhile I will blank fire it to check, no leaks after all this time. Just my thoughts.
 
D+L has lots of older model Crosman parts.I had my pkg in less than a week.BC-AB after a call........Harold
 
I had the same gun re done by a member on here, he was a ncie guy and he tried but it didn't work. I ended up spending $50 with shipping back and forth and his parts and time. He offered to look at it again but it wasn't worth the hassle so I just threw the thing out. Save your time and money and buy a new one. JMHO

Fifty bucks is alot to spend on one of these but please don't throw them out! Send me a PM, I collect 'em.
