I just bought a crosman phantom .177 for my son.
I picked up a scope for it today and have to get my son to dial it in.
Can anyone tell me what the crosshair should be sat at in yards?
10.20 ,30???

Depends how far away you want to shoot it. I would zero it at the range you'll do msot fo your shooting and then find out where it shoots at other ranges.

Carefull with the Phantom. You may find you get better accuracy from the iron sights. The barrel lock up area uses plastic washers and there can be quite a bit of sideways play of the barrel rendering the scope "cute" but less accurate than the barrel mounted iron sights.

What I did with my Quest (wood stocked version of the Phantom) is change out the washers for metal ones can you can find at your local hardware store. There is far less barrel play and the scope does do better.

Also, make sure the scope bases are tight and up against the scope base plate on the rifle or else the scope will move along the dovetail ramp.
