crossman Marauder

Yes it is!
No prices yet (but they are $500 in the US, so it's not gonna be cheap)
The barrel shroud will not be coming into the country as it is considered a supressor, we will get a floated barrel without the shroud.
Cheers,
Grant

Yes, quite a shame that the gun will be "neutered" once it hits Canadian ground. The shroud is one of the better features of the gun.

This appears to be the best "bang for the buck" PCP out there right now. It will be interesting to see how loud it will be. I figure it will be comparable to the others in it's power level, and Crosman's Discovery as well.

Good to see some cheaper North American talent in the PCP game. I think Crosman is starting to get wise to the market.

Honestly I'd rather have a single-shot personally.

If they would throw that adjustable valving, trigger and a decent barrel onto a Disco in .177 I'd be very much interested in that. I just don't seem to care for repeaters.
Good news it's a crossman, so all those parts would probably fit the Disco just fine:D

i wish there was some way trying them out before buying, well that what i get for living in the middle of nowhere.

do any of you guys own a condor & discovery to compare them.
i want to buy one in 22 but cant make up my mind.
and now i got the Marauder to add the the problem.

i like the discovery because of the pump,
the Marauder is going to need a tank
condor needs a tank, and has power up the hoop. but every body seems to have to tinker with them.

decisions,decisions

I own neither, but I've tosseed this around and handled both.

Well the Condor (which I haven't shot, but have seen shot and handled) has a tonne of power when you feed it the heavy pellets. And you can adjust the hell out of it.
But here is my take:
It's loud, like rimfire loud. It doesn't do anything that a rimfire of equal cost can't. Those heavy pellets are nearly the cost of decent .22lr ammo (then add the cost of getting the tank filled). The shape of it isn't comfortable or conducive to offhand shooting.
But if you love to tinker, it's got to be the king.

The Disco is a nice mid-range pellet-gun. It comes with everything you need and it has decent performance for a pelletgun.
It's louder than a magnum springer, but very easy to get shooting accurately. If you bulk-fill it with CO2 it looses some performance and a lot of the noise. I believe there is also an adjustable hammer for these that could increase your shot-count and lower the noise too.
It feels like a real gun and is a pleasure to carry around for plinking, although you won't be shooting a lot without the pump.

Those are my thoughts. I'm personally leaning towards the Disco or perhaps a QB79 with a regulated HPA tank which would let me shoot a lot more than the Disco.

Is this your guess or were you told by someone specific that the factory shroud will be removed once entered into Canada?? Was it airgunsource... SpecialtyShootingSport? I like to ask them myself as I am considering buying a Marauder.

Without the factory shroud/ barrel protector the Marauder looks like crap...

Maybe you heard wrong and that it's the internal baffles that are to be removed for the Canadian shippment...

Aaaaaaah, Uuummm, let's see.................

Would you stop posting pics of the Marauder??? I've already given myself a dozen reasons why I can't buy one.

It has to be one of the ###iest airguns out there. Looks so much like an Air Arms it isn't funny!!
