Anyone use a crow call as a locator? Any success??

Only tried it once but i dont think i was intense enough with it. Apparently you gotta sound like a bunch of crows fighting a hawk or something crazy.

Crow calls will get them to gobble if they are roosting, but if you are talking about a daylight locator while hunting there are better calls... such as "hot hen yelping."

I find it works well as a locator call at first light before fly down. Once birds are on the ground you’re more likely to get a gobble response if you make a gobble call yourself or as mentioned calling with yelps or cutting calls

crow hasn't worked for me yet in my area, certainly brings other crows in for a look see but a goose call on the other hand has been my preference. loud honk or two has gotten some responses.

Must have fun shooting crows there then in Chatam...

Used to break the 1200 mark when i lived on the farm. Now im right in town i dont get as many. But they are fun to shoot. They estimate between 2 and 3 million crows migrate to my area during the colder months. They blacken out the morning and evening skies
