Crow calls will get them to gobble if they are roosting, but if you are talking about a daylight locator while hunting there are better calls... such as "hot hen yelping."
I find it works well as a locator call at first light before fly down. Once birds are on the ground you’re more likely to get a gobble response if you make a gobble call yourself or as mentioned calling with yelps or cutting calls
crow hasn't worked for me yet in my area, certainly brings other crows in for a look see but a goose call on the other hand has been my preference. loud honk or two has gotten some responses.
Used to break the 1200 mark when i lived on the farm. Now im right in town i dont get as many. But they are fun to shoot. They estimate between 2 and 3 million crows migrate to my area during the colder months. They blacken out the morning and evening skies
