Hey guys, I was on a mini camp/road trip with my buddy last fall we went up to temagami and then coming back we came along the 533 and then back through algonquin. I was intrigued by the area halfway between hwy 63 and Mattawa on 533 and was wondering how is the hunting situation around there? Seems like a lot of access roads and hunting opportunities. Trying to plan a spring bear hunt and wondering if i should give this area a try or stick to the area that I know? I like adventure and the challenge of being places that I've never been before but if the area has a high pressure and crappy hunting then i'd rather not waste my time.
Any tips would be helpful. Most likely it will be a solo trip or with said friend coming out with me as hes just recently obtained his hunting licence.
