CSA 11.5 7.62x39 VZ58 owners

Hello all,

I have a NR cz858 but want a shorter chrome lined barrel range toy based on the vz. what are your opinions on CSA's 11.5 rifle? has it been reliable and trouble free? is the fit and finish good? do they have pre tabbed carriers?

They are okay. Finish looks nicer than the 858s, but the paint isn't nearly as durable.

Paint? CSA uses KG gun kote. Pretty durable stuff.

Whatever they use, as I said, it's not as durable as the grey finish on the 858s I've had.

I really like my little carbine, it does have a lot of muzzle blast and flash, but given how handy it is that's to be expected. I haven't put many rounds through it yet - maybe 700, but it's been golden for reliability and accuracy at close range.
