CSA 11.8 Weird Find

I just got a slightly used CSA 11.8" 223 ( only 2 boxes apparently ) Upon cleaning/inspection I noticed on the bottom of the receiver cover a glob of JB weld holding a piece on and to hide a part of the receiver cover that it was broken off. I mean its a pretty thick piece to break off.

Now are the 223 and 762 VZ receiver covers the same.

You have the bolt carrier and striker in those pics, not the receiver cover.

Are you referring to the welded on tab that prevents the gremlin?

That's the welding to hold the tab On the bolt carrier. Normal but seems like a piss poor weld job

Not pretty but it looks to be a good, deep weld. I'd rather have that than a pretty, superficial weld that doesn't hold.
