CSA 58 223 Mags

I got one of those $400 Wolverine rifles in 223. Tested it briefly. It cycles with ammo not loaded full power - my standard CQB load.

That is the good news. The bad news is that it came with 2 mags and I need at least 4 for CQB. (5 would be better).

Is there a dealer with these mags in stock?

I have lots of metal AR-15 mags on hand, so a conversion would be fine, but I have not found a dealer with any of those in stock.

Any ideas?

I'm sure someone who has done the conversion would have mags to sell. Tagged for interest.

I couldn't find any dealer with them in stock either, but managed to pick up a bunch from EE.

Since then, I have had the magwell conversion done. Defefinitely worth the effort if you are running & gunning; those 10 round LAR mags are just so handy.
But I'm keeping my CSA mags just in case....

Keep checking EE there is usually soemone selling a few here and there.

bcos of the conversion , the mags are being dumped at a cheap price , i paid $20-25 .

I found a conversion unit at SFRC. About $100 shipped.

I would double check with SFRC to see what version it is.
From the picture on their website, it looks like Gen 1 and not the improved Gen 2 version.... unless it doesn't matter to you.

What is the difference and how important is it? I will check.

For what I understand, there was some worry about the fragility of the Gen 1versions so they added reinforcement (the rib structures) to the Gen 2 to beef them up.
