Just received a call from the good folks at Wolverine. My pre-ordered Compact is not coming in. CSA cannot fulfill their obligations with Wolverine, therefore the contract has been cancelled for the Compact.:( But the Carbine is there if anyone wants it. I prefer the Compact though. Next time, I am sure someone out there would make one that works.:D

From one of the threads:
Wolverine Supplies has decided to end our contract with Czech Small Arms. We will no longer be importing these firearms. Unfortunately we never received the Compact model and the AR15 magazine adapter. It has not been confirmed whether these will be put into production. We still have available the CSA Carbines in both 7.62x39 and 5.56.
We will honor warranty claims on firearms that were purchased from us.

This in no way effects the CZ 858.

Please contact Wolfgang if you have any questions.

only dealer around trenton i can think of is OST but dont see this as being something they would bring in

Hmm, the just combined with NEIT (a major manufacture of CZ 858 parts), and i know he was doing vz /cz training courses, sounds like something they might now that you bring up OST.

Hopefully we will know soon

Gee, what a lousy development. One of the reasons I got a 223 carbine was for the "upcoming" mag adapter.

Can we still get spare parts/mags from Wolverine? Or is that support of their( former) product gone too?

To put most of the conjecture and rumors to rest before things get out of control...

I've been told directly that the supply of CSA rifles will not slow, the compacts are still on the way and there are no issues with QC. (for the record, CSA assembles the CZ 858 line for CZ.. same people, same QC). There has been a delay on the compacts because they're not 100% happy with them. They operate flawlessly, but because of the high temps of the very short barrel they are experiencing erosion on the piston head. They are currently looking at changing the piston material to a material more suited to high heat.

The 5.56mm Magwell adapters are still coming as well. They too are in the final stages before full production. They work great and required a bit of tweaking to allow compatibility with Pmags (because of the slightly longer dimension). They will be Glass reinforced polymer as someone inquired to in another thread.

As you all know, new products take time to develop, and care is being taken to ensure that the best final product possible is being delivered.
Any information as to the details of where you can get these rifles going forward, service or supply will I'm sure be addressed shortly. Rest assured the end-user will not see a gap in service or supply.

Well I wonder then, why a firearms retailer like Wolverine would totally back out of selling these rifles..?

Seems like there might be more to it...

Sorry for getting sand in your ######. Just adding to the conversation since not everyone browses CGN in it's entirety.

LOL. What exactly in my response made you think I was irritated? Given that Wolverine`s statement is included in post 1 of this thread, one hardly has to read all of CGN.
