CSA Piston Fix for over gas

Upon cleaning my 2013 7.62x39 Csa VZ58 I discovered that the bolt was broken (approx. 900 rounds through it). Strangely enough it still worked flawlessly.

After a quick forum search I found many threads on this very issue. I understand the problem is an over sized gas port and that the accepted repair method is replacement of the gas piston with a slightly undersized new piston.

As this rifle is now out of warranty, I am going to repair this myself.

I have a new surplus bolt and access to a lathe for the piston reduction.

In all of the dozen plus threads on the subject I was unable to find what the new/fixed piston diameter is supposed to be?

Anyone know the measurement or have a fixed vz they could measure for me?

Thanks

I used to have a 2013 CSA that was over gassed too and sent it away for warranty work. The invoice said they changed the piston to .469,I don’t know if that is a one size fits all number, but it ran beautifully after that.
