Hello Gun Nutz!

I bought a CSA side rail and mount from Zahal. Got it no problem until I go and install it on my VZ. I already have the two holes to mount the rail and its a CSA VZ 58 rifle.

The rail doesn't fit properly on it, won't sit flush with the receiver. It looks like the rail is too big to fit between the top and bottom where the cut out is for it.

Second is the scope mount how do it tighten it? So that the rail doesn't have any movement and wont slide off the rail.

Thanks for the help. ;)

I have that same CSA side rail and mount from Zahal so I'm mystified as to how it's too large. Can you provide a picture? I'd like to see how you're seating it.

The second one is easier to answer. When you mount the...errrr....mount, you need to tighten the nut at the bottom while depressing the area around the nut (sounds harder than it is) once you have it fully on the rail. Once that's tightened, you close the cantilever at the top. That should tighten the mount to the rail with no play.

Here is the picture: If you look on the right/top side on the rail it interferes with the receiver. I've tried "little love taps" but it wont sit properly.
