I'm noticing that the CSA models seem to have the safety lever operation modified.

Just curious, but has anyone tried both? What's the verdict on user friendly application??

I've always liked the AR-15 style where in simply grabbing the gun in a firing grip, you can wipe the safety off in the same motion, but applying the safety is a slightly more deliberate move.

Any thoughts on the use of an ambi safety on either of these CZ guns?

I installed am ambi safety on my VZ58...
In doing so, it 'converted' the safety lever's 'fire' position from 'back' to 'forward'.
It made it (for me) a more natural way applying and removing the safety while my dominant hand was on the grip.
To fire, I either use my thumb to push it forward ( ala AR15 ), or I can still use my index finger to move it forward as it goes into the trigger guard.
To apply the safety, I use my index finger to position it in the 'safe' (down) position.
It's the same technique I use with my ambi-controlled AR's...and I find it a big improvement over the stock VZ's 'back' position for 'fire'....

That's what I was thinking, but I was wondering what users experienced.
