Hither and yon.
Has anyone else noticed that the supply of these dried up over the last year or so? Are dealers just not bringing them in because they're not in vogue anymore, or...?

Also, type 56 SKS rifles: Has anybody heard if there are more shipments of these on the way, or are we at the tail end of that era?

Dealers are afraid of being stuck with unsellable stock if a ban goes through.

Nah, if all these retailers were so afraid of the ban they wouldn't bring any semis in and just close up shop. Many retailers have recently scaled up their operations in fact. If they stopped bringing in guns that people want, what would they stock instead? And it's not like they have to bring in a minimum of 50 of one model of gun at a time.

Ofcourse once the OIC is enacted the VZ58 will be banned along with the CZ858. As for availability, Bullseye always has one or 2 hanging on the wall whenever I go there.

It may be banned, but they only know where the restricted versions are, if ya catch my drift.

Stop posting statements without any actual evidence as if they are fact. \

It is so frustrating to come on this site and others and see statements like the below as if they are actually factual..

Stop talking out your arrses, provide links to evidence and not "facts" you heard from a friend who heard it from a gunshop worker who read it on CGN.

Bill Blair has stated that the upcoming prohibitions will be done via OIC. Google it. Also you are a complete fool to think the VZ58 would escape any OIC. Im not talking out my azz here. That is is just plain common sense.

CSA is a very small manufacturer and can only produce small numbers.

They ship to Canada twice (i think) a year and all their units are generally pre sold to dealers months beforehand.

We buy as many as we can get our hands on and will continue to.

Not similar but 99.8% exact spec. Only difference between CSA and old Vz58 is that the receivers are newly manufactured.

Its more then just that. The CSA's do not have the 1" square receiver space milled out for full auto components. The CZ 858s however do.

1. I never said the VZ58 would escape anything
2. That link was not there when you first mentioned it and is 5 months old and there has been no further mention of the use of an OIC
3. When you say "The OIC" it needs more than a single comment in a media scrum to become "the OIC"

So your "Plain common sense" was a plain lack of sense. Qualify your comments the first time with factual evidence and provide context.

"One time in a media scrum Bill Blair responded saying an OIC would be used, in the 5 months since then nothing more has been mentioned and we don't know what will happen or even how rifles will be categorised" is the accurate statement.

The Czech republic is on complete lock down, the factory isn't pumping out anything until it reopens. It will be a little while before you start to see stock again if they dont have stuff waiting for shipment already.
