CSA Vz-58 Question

Are the new ones good? Have the initial teething problems (over gassing, heat treating, etc) been resolved?

I bought a 2014 CSA Vz.58 in 7.62 and haven't any problems of note. Your mileage may vary but the consensus seems to be that the 2014 manufacture has resolved most issues.

+1. I have a '14 as well. Runs great. I have 2k+ rounds through mine. Not one issue.

The 7.62's never really had any problems.

I have a 2013 7.62, never had an issue, it throws casings two feet away. no stoppages. great rifle.

I've seen lots of issues with .223 and no issues with 7.62 ones

My 2013 7.62 had to be replaced after being sent in to rehab twice without result. I just got the replacement rifle, a '14 stamped version, that I haven't got to shoot yet.

My first 13 in 7.62x39 was replaced after two warranty trips, my replacement was over gassed so I got a piston that dealt with that. Maybe 1000 rounds through it since I got it and so far so good.

Just shy over 500 rounds on my '14 7.62 model, no issues with over-gassing, chambering, or extracting so far.
