What kind of round counts do you have ? And how is it holding up ? I have 1400 rounds through mine with no issues with ftf or fte. The receiver does seem to have some wear. How is the heat treating of your receiver holding up ? Any wear on the rails where the bolt and carrier ride ?

Mine is chambered in 7.62x39

Mine seems to crimp casings. Even after having warranty work. It is chambered in .223 however. And only seems to like steel case. The gun gets super super hot as well when using my beo mags.

IMO these guns were not meant to be run with .223

Commie 7.62x39mm is the ammo of choice for these rifles.

My Vz58 in .223 has been awesome, eats the Norinco ammo and loves it!! I highly recommend picking one up, although some people have had issues with the .223 ones. Mine is a 2014, which has apparently corrected the issues found in the previous years.. Added a low rise scope mount and a Sparc red dot, wood furniture and the LAR Mag adaptor. Is one of my favorite guns to take to the range, and is actually very accurate too.

That's alot nicer than mine. I hate the folding stock. Where did you get that scope mount?

My brother and I found one of ours had a big crack in the striker, thousands of rounds in. We decided to shoot until failure. Still waiting, a crate later. Energizer bunny. The czech surplus ones are tough as walrus leather. The csa rifles have mixed reviews.
