I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't turn up much with the 'Search' function...

Just wondering if anyone uses their CSA .223 with the 18.5" Barrel for hunting?

If so how do you like it and also what kind of accuracy can one expect from these rifles?

I see they have a 1 in 7" twist rate is anybody shooting heavy bullets in theirs?

I handloaded both 55gr and 62gr bulk FMJ's from Budget Shooting Supplies over W748 powder.

The 62gr were lake city or some other bulk and shot into 2.5" 10-shot groups at 50 meters.

The 55gr FMJs were Hornady and were a much better {consistent} bullet for the money, I was grouping 1.5" with those.
All testing was off of sandbags using the stock irons at 50 Meters.

If I was a betting man I would say that my particular rifle was capable of at least 2.5-3 MOA with optics at 100 meters using bulk-grade bullets.

Obviously a heavier and longer match bullet would have shot much tighter but I never went there as that was not reason I purchased the rifle.
Hope that helps.
Mag length could be an issue if you're going heavy with longer OAL's, but I never checked mine When I had it.
I really liked mine, but I hated the fact I could never find most of my brass.
