I have been toying with the idea of a Vz58 is 5.56/.223 but am just not sure about it's reliability. I know there were issues with early models but haven't heard or been able to find recent reviews about the rifle.
I had a Cz858 over a decade ago and absolutely loved it, but I'm not too keen on shooting corrosive surplus anymore and the price of commercial .223 is just hard to beat right now.
For anyone who has purchased one of these in the past 2-3 years, has the rifle been reliable? accurate? I just want to know if it functions and performs as well as the 7.62x39 version. Should I just get the rifle in the caliber it was designed for?
Thanks in advance for responses!
