A buddy of mine has a CSA VZ58 and on two occasions the extractor has become detached from the bolt. He now has his extractor spring and plunger missing.
I can't comment as to exactly why this problem happened, but I've owned a few CSAs and a bunch of Vzs (CZH2003s, Cz858s, and a Vz58L), and my experience has been that the CSAs just aren't as durable, reliable, or well-built as the original Cz product. Broken piston in one of my CSA guns, feeding issues in another that resulted in warranty repair and replacement of a bunch if parts. Also had a buddy with feeding issues in his CSA. They changed the original Vz58 design slightly, and this combined with lesser build quality results in a definite decrease in the overall gun when compared to Vz.
CSAs LOOK great, and if you get a good one, they run fine, but I'm not putting a lot of rounds through the one CSA I still have, as I don't think it will hold up to a lot of rounds as well as my Cz's. I think of CSA as being to the Vz58 world what NEA is to the AR15 world.
