CSA VZ58 Receiver cover problem.

I was at the range today and something hit me in the face but I didn't know what it was and it was raining a bit so I kept shooting. I was getting some light primer strikes on the surplus ammo I was shooting. But that happened also on my sks.

Went home and started to take apart the VZ and noticed this


Has anyone ever seen this before? I contacted the company I bought it from and waiting on a reply.

I've contacted the company just waiting now.

The rivet that is suppose to be there flew out. How? I don't know....

when you take in apart to clean and reassembled did you properly house the dust cover back on, is there any loose in the back?

I don't check for looseness in the cover after cleaning. Is there a special way to put it back on?
