From the CSAAA:

The Handgun Freeze

After an emergency meeting with the Public Safety team this morning we can offer the following information regarding the handgun transfer freeze that took effect at 12:01 AM EST this morning.

Any handguns transferred before 12:01 AM EST this morning (10-21-2022) will be processed as usual with proof of purchase before the 12:01 AM cutoff.

Any transfers started AFTER will be reviewed to see if the individual (buyer) is exempt. The individual will be contacted upon review by the CFO for proof that they meet the requirements for exemption.

Handguns “pre-purchased” by individuals while the RPAL was being processed, will not be processed or “grandfathered in”.

RPAL licenses processed after the freeze will not be refunded if.

We are waiting to hear if RPAL licenses still in limbo will be eligible for cancellation/refund.

Our official statement;

We are still accepting and initiating transfers for Restricted Firearms until such time that the CFP disables our ability to start new transfers electronically, or an actual release of an actual law or documents states that the ban is in effect. To date, we have not seen a written law or declaration in an official medium, and we do not operate in a manner that treats news releases and notifications via email as Law.

Transitional Provision
2 Section 4.1 of the Conditions of Transferring Firearms and Other Weapons Regulations does not apply in respect of the transfer of a handgun to an individual if the transferor sought the authorization of the chief firearms officer, as defined in subsection 2(1) of the Firearms Act, to transfer the handgun under paragraph 23.2(1)(d) of that Act before the day on which these Regulations come into force.

Even tho I knew this gonna come. it still sickens me to guts that these woke ass Mofos can just do this #### in a democratic country............“操你妈杜鲁多 - Confucius"

They started off the press conference using the united States violence to justify this. We need to vote these people out as fast as possible. They can't even make laws that have to do with Canadian issues, but rather use what's in the American news cycle as their backstop for more prohibition orders to garner votes from Canadians who watch more American news then canadian.

We are still able to start transfers, and we will continue to start transfers until the CFC no longer accepts them.
We are NOT capturing funds on new orders until we are assured the transfers will be honored.
