CT & SKS prices (march 11th 40%-50% CT money pg2)

Hey Meems. I am just curious which st catharines location you are talking about with the sks's? Also do they stock any other types of firearms? I may want to go check it out sometime in the near future
Right on, what years did you get,, any non refurbs? our CTC just match locally, in province, but they have the best price anyway! $199 for birch stock, he brought in 150 last fall and has about 30 left but just ordered 50 more regular and a bout 20 super duper deluxe, their price will be going up about 10-15%, they let me help date the first batch and I hope this next batch too, so I can pick out the last few/years I need to finish my group!So as most you all know the Sks is, has and will continue to go up in price! Thought I should call up some of the local Canadian Tires in the area to see if they had any in stock. Orillia NO STOCK! Gravenhurst NO STOCK! Bracebridge NO STOCK! Huntsville 18 IN STOCK! Guess they just got a fresh shipment in....sweet. Asked the employee if they would do a price match (Tenda $209) on them and was assured they would. Awesome saves me Driving down to Richmond Hill. So off I go to Huntsville CT. Show up and there they are sitting pretty in a row. Talk to the employee and said I had just phoned in and wanted to hand pick some Sks's out of what they have in stock/get a $209 price match. "SORRY SIR WE DONT PRICE MATCH FIREARMS....". I says pardon! As we are both looking at the case of Russian beauties.
Ok so let's get this straight...I just drove from 2 towns over was guaranteed you would price match. Well At this point what do I got to lose and start to kick up some dirt. So another employee shows up. Great, let's get this sorted out. Again, sorry sir we don't price match..... as they are ripping the " WE MATCH COMPETITORS PRICES" sign off the glass gun display. My jaw drops. This isn't how it works. So I get talking to them about SKS prices and their wholesale cost was well beyond what I was trying to get the price match for. Well sorry about your luck but im not leaving without what was guaranteed to me can I speak to the manager. She replys "Iam the manager of the sports department" snooty like. As I reply " The store manager,the one who manages you"
After $209 price match and 10% CT money they were roughly $216 taxes in. Thanks Huntsville CT
And I used to be the brother with a gun problem. Till I sold most of them to buy a ring for my now wife. If only you guys knew how much panic buying he did in the past three weeks. If you can call it that. I think he made out like a bandit. Not to mention the 10% ct money he made back for price matching. Enough to buy our pops a bday present.

The store in Caledonia also has some. The ones I saw were $229 on sale for $219. Pretty beat up looking BBQ paint.
The Burlington store also carries them for $229, looked a bit nicer. The guy working there went out to the warehouse and picked a specific model year I requested. Overall pretty nice shape.
Then according to the latest theory it is a 1957! Nice rifles!

I thought it was less than 3 % now . Maybe the 10 % was to make up for bad customer service , and removing the price match sign while the customer was standing there....

Canadian tire has a policy....They’ll match the other store’s price - and give an additional 10% of the lower price in Canadian Tire ‘money’. If your looking to get a big purchase and a little extra deal coming up soon. sign your soul away for a credit card and there is a big return. 
Now I was just thinking.....if you did all these steps plus got a price match, so an extra 10% back in CT money. THATS 50%! YOU COULD BUY 2 GET 1 FREE FOR AN SKS !!!!!! I'm working the weekend or I would try it!

In other words (if I got this right) $100 gets you 50 cents in CT money. AT the 40x rate, you would get $20 off on a $100

Where I live they don't want to go in the back to get the other SKS's as they are "Buried" so bs, next time I go Im going to talk to the Owner {if there} or store manager. They seem to try Not to follow there policy if they can get away with it, {price matching} not all places, but some seem more hard *ss about it, I guess its a Family biz, as they seem really cheap, trying to Save the Company $ & too bothered to accommodate with the SKS's...one of their lowest cost {firearms} items.
