Was in Timmins yesterday and noticed they sold handgun ammo.
9mm@$15(out of stock), 40S&W@$23, 45ACP@$26, also had 38Special and 357Mag(out of stock).
And various types of rifle bullets(projectiles) for reloading.
Is this common for CTC to stock handgun caliber ammo and reloading supplies, at least bullets?
Does your store handle pistol caliber ammo and reloading supplies?

I've been told that most Canadian Tire stores are corporate and only carry the generic stuff (rifle and rimfire ammo). There are some that are private franchises and can carry a lot of other stuff at the owners decision. There is one that I am told has a full firearms section somewhere near Ottawa but I've never been there.

If it's a corporate store... that's weird.

Like to know where that one is..

in the sixty's. canadian tire sold real firearms not pellet guns like they do now. i don't recall if they ever sold handgun ammo.here in manitoba.

There are couple in AB that still sell firearms.

And I have yet to see a CT store that does not sell ammunition, including typical handgun calibres.

Maybe it is just a Western thing.

CT in Barrie South sells the most popular hand gun ammo but no guns. CT Barrie North sells guns and ammo but no hand guns.

I have been to all the Ottawa area stores as well as a couple in Gatineau (that the CT website said was hunting pro shop ones) and have not seen any real guns for sale or handgun ammo.

No handgun ammunition at the Kingston location , at least not when ive checked / asked there .. apparently "We dont carry it because nobody has any buisness owning one" ... retards..

You don't have to go back to the 60's for Canadian Tires and Home Hardwares to sell firearms. As recently as the early 90's, at least in the Sudbury area, both stores carried rifles and shotguns.
