Cull Elk Hunt in Cypress Hills Sask.

Hello GunNutz; I was woundering if any of you out there participated in this hunt to cull the over population of elk in the SW. corner of Saskatchewan.
Where you successful???
Did you love/hate it???
Would you go again???
Any advice for the DNR???(I've got lots but I'd probably get censored)
As a local land owner I'd like your opinions...Really...

A cull !!! thats hilarious, on the Alberta side they cut the tags down this year because thier count was down by half from the previous year.


.... Wel I guess we know there the missing elk went, they cashed out and moved to Saskabush

Well, if it was anything like the CWD cull around Cabri, I hope you have a TV in the basement...concrete basement. It was a bloody circus when I was there.

Well, if it was anything like the CWD cull around Cabri, I hope you have a TV in the basement...concrete basement. It was a bloody circus when I was there.

On the contrary as far as a firefight going on.From most of the hunters I've talked to say that as soon as someone fired a shot the elk would all run into Cypress Park or ranches that were posted no hunting. Then the Woodchucks just cruised around looking for anyone to nail a fine on.Basicly what I'm getting is it was just a tax money grab and the elk are just fine...The only culling was the cash from the hunters pockets!!!
